COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Objective: The objective of these task cards is to provide students with engaging opportunities to practice and reinforce their ability to identify the number that comes before and the number that comes after a given number. In this 10 card set, students will practice identifying the number neighbors for numbers 40-49.

Independent Practice: The task cards provide a flexible, fun and interactive way for students to practice this fundamental skill again and again. These cards can be used with early elementary students in the classroom or for students that are homeschooled. I use them specifically for my special education students with autism and other complex learning profiles. Students with autism tend to need frequent practice before they master a skill. This can be accomplished easily using Velcro.

How to Use this Resource: Print out the task cards, cut and laminate. Print out the answer sheet, laminate, cut and apply Velcro to make this activity usable over and over again. If you prefer, students can cut and glue the numbers to the task cards as well.
